G-Shock x Metallic DW-6900s

- For the month of February G-Shock is looking to unleash a whole set of metallic coated DW-6900s. The Japanese digital watch company is re-working one of their most popular models and coats the DW-65900 in metallic black, white, purple, and green. You will also find that the LEDs come in a variety of colors and some colorways even come with the negative backlight. Look for these watches to be available at select G-Shcok stockists real soon.

WAKE-n-BACON!?

- Whereas most alarm clocks rely on loud obtrusive noises to get you out of bed, the Wake n’ Bacon gets you up and ready for work with the sweet mouthwatering smell of sizzling bacon. It’s quite simple, just place a frozen strip of bacon into the Wake n’ Bacon before you fall asleep. The next morning, 10 minutes before the alarm is set to go off, the device automatically begins cooking the bacon using two halogen lamps. When the desired waking time arrives, you have inevitably awoken from the pungent odor of pig fat, and are most likely reloading the device for a second serving.

Office Fun

The Worlds Biggest Keyboard!

- The keyboard is actually a interactive sculpture titled TEXTile, and was a collabortion between Jean Shin and The Fabric Workshop and Museum of Philadelphia. The sculpture is made of 22,528 recycled keycaps and 192 custom keycaps, fabric, customized active keyboard and interactive software, video projection and painted aluminum armatures. The real intersting part about the piece is that the keys spell out a line-by-line transcript of the email correspondence between the artist and the fabricators regarding the making of the piece, which means the sculpture actually documents its own making.

PAGANI Huayra

-The Huayra by PAGANI Automobili is one of refinement with only subtle hint of speed. That is till you awaken its powerplant, a Mercedes-Benz AMG produced twin turbo V12, able to generate 700+ horsepower and 730 pound-feet of torque. The second addition to the PAGANI line will churn up roadways at 230 mph with air breaks to assist in stopping, though all virtually unnoticeable to the driver since its interior is appointed with the finest leather seats, steering column, dashboard, and more. Control gauges and information hub are in polished chrome with hint of carbon fiber application. Finally, the car’s gull-wing doors complete its image of luxury and speed. More to come in March at the Geneva Auto Show.

New Google London Headquarters

-With free food, open office layout, and non-pretentious appointments, search engine giant Google has long been on the list of “Best Places To Work”. Now add another attractions to the long list – Brighton Beach, at least in its new London Headquarter location near Buckingham Palace. In designing the new 40,000 square-foot space, architect Scott Brownrigg went for something that will excite people when they arrive at work. Bright colors and lights accentuate the work environment while mini beach house replicas double as conference room and other amenities. In place of beach sand, Brownrigg cleverly applied birch colored carpeting that gives very similar appearance. On another side, the cafeteria takes on the look of a restaurant and serves a mix of Asian Fusion and Sushi. In addition, there is an onsite gym/shower, massage and spa treatment section, all as added incentives for Google staffers to come to work. Afterall, a happy employee is an efficient employee. We only wish more employers would do the same… via: dezeen
